ACCOMPLISHMENTS
 
 
Laurie considers all of her personal accomplishments just
as important as her professional achievements.
Personal accomplishments include those trials and
lessons we must all learn that often come with tragedy,
obstacles, betrayal, losses, set backs and disappointments.
These have played a large role in the success of her life
and work. She has the unique ability of being able to carry
on no matter what. A quality she learned watching her
parents as they rose above the challenges time and again.

2010: Completed and published 
          "The Top Ten Ways to Grow My Business" 
           a self directed home workshop, a must for
           every business owner 
 
          "Couples Unite" 12 workshops to support couples
           who want an enriched and quality relationship.  
 
          On September 13 Laurie was inducted as a lifetime
          member of the prestigious registry, Biltmore Who's
          Who in Business. With only 133 Canadians in the
          registry of 50,000 business leaders worldwide Laurie
          feels honored to have been recognized in this way 
          for her work and challenges she overcame along 
          the way.

2009: Invited to be cast in the film The Gratitude Experiment
          along with Bob Proctor and a host of other mentors

          Licensed to provide Certification Training and develop
          workbooks and learning materials to support the The
          Opus and subsequent films produced by Doug

          Laurie developed her at home workshop mini series
          and plans to publish 100 titles to complete the set.
 
          Added a men's magazine to her line up of publications
         to be revived and launched in 2010.

2008: Invited to become part of the professional team of 
          speakers who provide presentations for the Continuing
          Education Department of Clemson University, South
          Carolina. Laurie has traveled to 18 major cities in the
          US to share her message of empowerment and
          communication.
 
          Family repsonsibilities and grandchildren moved Laurie
          from Nova Scotia to Alberta Canada.

2007: Laurie becomes a talk show host on World Talk Radio
          and broadcasts globally for a year. Her shows are
          still archived and available for listening.
 
          Laurie celebrated her birthday 07/07/007 and
          considers that a pivotal time in her career and life.
 
          Published Women of Wisdom Magazine and took it to
          the World Holistic Health Conference in Toronto,
          March 2007 where she was also a featured speaker.
 
          Laurie reinstates herself as a member of the
          National Speakers Association.

2006: Published and launched the second edition of Kids
          Kronicle, an empowerment magazine for children.
 
          Laurie traveled to Taiwan to share her workshops at
          which time the PEP™ program was translated into
          Chinese.
 
          Later in 2006 the program was translated into Spanish.

2005: Graduated a group of 6 women from inner city Halifax
          who turned their lives around with the gift of the PEP
          Program, funded in time and money by Laurie.
 
          Laurie submitted an article to be published and was
          one of 3 Canadians to be featured in Walking with the
          Wise Entrepreneur along with Donald Trump,
          Dr. Deepak Chopra, Chuck Norris, Suze Orman
          and other celebrities.

2004: Laurie expanded her product line by authoring two
          sister programs, PEP™ Finance helping us to change
          our beliefs about money and PEP™ Wellness to
          empower us to take responsibility for our health. 
          Also she began to market  21 Days to
          Happiness, a self directed workshop.
 
          At this time to meet the needs of her visually impaired
          clientele, Laurie records adaptive learning materials
          so they could actively participate in her on line
          workshops.

2003: Laurie spent this year redefining herself
          and her business. She describes it as a year of physical
          and emotional recovery from harsh legal and financial
          set backs of which she now knows were part of
         her continued growth and development.
 
         Laurie makes her way to California to begin mentoring
          with Mark Victor Hansen, co author of the 
          Chicken Soup for the Soul Series.
          She would make 3 more trips in all to learn how
          to effectively market her own product line.

2002: Laurie authored a 10 week process for parents,
         teachers and all caregivers of our children called
         "10 Ways to Build Confident Children",
          aka PEP™ Parenting
 
          Laurie begins to professionally record her teachings
          on CD.

2001: VOIP, voice technology became available and Laurie
          embraced this opportunity to take her workshops
          internationally.
          This technology is commonplace today and is still used
          each day to deliver the workshops Laurie has created.

2000: PEP™, Personally Empowered People became licensed
          trademarked and registered with Industry Canada.
 
          The Aboriginal Healing Foundation purchased the PEP™
          Program for band members of Big Cove First Nations
         in New Brunswick, Canada.

1999: After a season of broadcasting live on The Golf Show
          with CHUM radio in Halifax, Laurie is invited to submit
          a  proposal for her own show which she successfully
          acquires. The show is later syndicated to the   
          sister station in Vancouver BC. At this time
          Laurie also provides a professional live talk show  
          for the band members in Big Cove.

1998: A 30 acre retreat centre Brentwood,is purchased and 
          Laurie hosts clients, events, healing circles and
          workhops for the next 4.5 years.

1997: Laurie authors the PEP™ program, a program that
         has been running successfully for 13 years.

1996: Laurie returns to Nova Scotia after spending 2 years
          on the west coast where she sought mentors and
          support in an effort to create her own product line of
          personal and professional development programs.

1995: Entrepreneurial Excellence, 150 hours of education for
          those wanting to have their own home based business
          was a project that Laurie became passionate about, as
          she continued to grow as a business owner.
 
          Loving Leadership vs Controlled Management was yet
          another program she took to market. She created 150
         hours of training materials to support those wanting to
         become effective leaders.

1994: The Road to High Places, becomes Laurie's first
          workbook to be published. This is a weekend retreat
          that later became part of the Camp Davis Series of
          workshops.

1992: Laurie with the support of her husband Ron
          opens her doors for business.

1991: Laurie works as an Image Consutlant for the Dylex
          Corporation, one of nine across Canada.

                 Sales Director with Mary Kay Cosmetics.

1984-1970 Classroom teacher and during the last five years
                  of her tenure Laurie served as a vice principal of
                  her school.
